An introduction to Steady Steps

Are you over the age of 65? Are you unsteady on your feet and would like to improve your balance? Have you previously fallen?

If you answer yes, to any of the above then Steady Steps may just be the programme for you.

Steady Steps is an evidence-based 24-week programme tailored to those who have previously fallen or worry about falling. Steady Steps focusses on improving life quality by improving balance and stability in order for people to build independence in daily living without a fear of falling.

The Steady Steps programme is delivered by qualified Healthy Lifestyle Advisors who will guide and support you along your journey tailoring exercises to your specific needs.

How is Steady Steps delivered?

Our Steady Steps programme is delivered at various locations across Leicester City, your Advisor will inform you of the locations available upon referral.

If your interested in finding out more about the Steady Steps programme, then you can do this in one of two ways:

  1. Contact your GP who can make a referral to the service on your behalf. Upon receiving the referral, an Advisor will be in contact with you.
  2. Call Live Well on 0116 454 4000 or email us and one of our Advisors will provide you information on next steps.

Please be aware we will require further information from you in advance of starting the programme and the Advisor will go through this information in more detail once a referral is made.
